I want all to know this on welding,
Welding involves joining two or more
pieces of metals together by applying high heats to melt the parts together and
allowing them to cool. There are various types of welding which include: gas
welding, pressure welding, electric arc welding, metallic arc welding, friction
welding, electro-slag welding etc, we practised gas welding and electric arc
welding. Gas welding involves using flames produced by the combustion of gasses
to heat and melt the pieces to be joined. The types of flames produced from the
oxygen and acetylene mixture are: neutral flame, carburising flames, oxidising
flames. Electric arc welding on the other hand involves melting metals by the
heat of an electric arc.
